Before I went to Stockholm, it was Christmas. On boxing day me and my mom went to the old Enka Factory to do some thrifting. It gives such a nice atmosphere to walk around in the empty factory. There weren’t so many sellers or nice finds but while digging through all the crap we still were able to find some treasures. I did not buy the tins or lights but the pacakging looks great, don’t you think? I did buy some other goodies. A special post will be contributed to the find of the day: THREE […]
Perfect Place: Stockholm
I’m back! After Christmas me and one of my lovely friends went to Stockholm. To see the city, relax, wander around (mostly in the dark, because it’s dark around 3 o’clock in the afternoon – crazy!) and celebrate new years eve. The city looked very classy and cozy at the same time. Here are some overall tourist style pictures ;) Expect to find some Stockholm tips (what to do, where to eat) the coming days. Glad to be back. Hope you guys had a wonderful holiday as well.
Christmas & See You Soon
Did you enjoy Christmas? I hope you have had a wonderful time. I went to my parents and had a super relaxing celebration. Since we didn’t celebrate Sinterklaas this year, there were some gifts underneath the tree. Thank you, Santa! I received mittens, the Flow Winterbook, candles, soap and some other lovely goodies. We had a wonderful dinner. On Wednesday mom and me went to the fleamarket! YES. That was kinda strange but great. A post dedicated to my thrifting will follow. Right now I am packing and leaving for Stockholm! Will be home in a […]

Salmon Gift Guide
Salmon Pink is my recently discovered favorite color, so a gift guide in that color couldn’t stay under the radar. 1 / geometric socks // 2 / little wallet 3 / herschell bag // 4 boat brooch / 5 pillow I really want this jacket since I saw it on Pinterest…. So the search begins. I can’t buy another one. All the other coats are ugly compared to my new true love ;) and underneath the jacket I will wear this sweater: And this lovely salmon bag from Marieke. What a coincidence. She just tagged me for […]
Snowy Weekend
This weekend it SNOWED. YES! On Thursday evening I went to visit my parents for the weekend. I went so early because when there is snow coming to The Netherlands the entire country freaks out. Usually the trains as well. And boy there was a LOT of snow. Luckily I brought my laptop so I could work at home on friday. But on saturday we went outside. Pimmetje was outside as well… He wanted to go in because his paws were so cold. But I needed to take a picture… ha sorry Pim ;) Maybe in […]
Hialeah 1969 – Vintage Flamingo Brooch from Florida
When opening my gifts I got from CreaSint I received one special package. A salmon pink colored brooch in the shape of a flamingo. On the brooch there were silver letters saying ‘Hialeah 1969’. So I wondered… what was Hialeah? Hialeah is a city in Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States, Wikipedia told me. But why the flamingo? Hialeah Park Apparently, there is also a huge park called Hialeah Park. In 1933, these exotic, colourful birds were introduced in the park. The park became so famous for its flamingo flocks that it has been officially designated a sanctuary for the American Flamingo by the Audubon […]
Creasint – Love, community and… Flamingo’s?!

The pictures kept on coming and everyone was in a blissful state of mind. It felt so warm and as a big happy (twitter) family. I sat on the table and opened my package as well. a box full with small gifts… and what was inside?… Brooches! YES! A Robin Magazine (good I didn’t buy one yet myself. Wanted to have one A keychain There was this one […]
Creasint – A few hours left…
In the Netherlands on the 5th of December we celebrate some kind of our own version of Christmas. It’s called Sinterklaas. The lovely Imke created a special version of Sinterklaas for the lovely twitter people, called #Creasint. We all got a (real paper!) name in our mailbox and a small description. Everyone was makeing a gift. Something found or made. My gift was sent off, I really hope she likes it! I received my gift yesterday. So exciting! I will be opening it this evening…. To be continued! For Sinterklaas i also packed some brooches in […]
